Discover Holidays is an inbound tour operator that specializes in designing and operating tailor-made travel itineraries in Canada, Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. We offer a diverse range of competitively priced products, suitable for international markets. The company has established a reputation for personalized service with attention to detail, advanced product expertise and professional delivery of quality vacations for the independent traveler.

We are seeking a full-time Operations Coordinator to manage a crucial stage of the booking process: supplier confirmations and quality assurance. This position requires attention to detail, organization and is predominantly computer/office work. The Operations Coordinator works in partnership with the Travel Designers and product contracting team to monitor quality.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

As the Operations Coordinator / Quality Assurance, your responsibilities include:

* Coordination of reservation confirmations
* Final review and quality control checks
* Monitor quality control reporting to ensure expedient process
* Maintain effective relationships with supplier partners
* Checking and loading supplier rates, policies, promotions and schedules
* Room block management including release dates, blackouts, and managing inventory
* Problem solving rate and block discrepancies
* Proofing existing and new programs, rates, and tariffs

Preferred Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

* Exceptional Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with team members, clients, and suppliers.
* Proficiency with Excel: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze data, create reports, and streamline processes.
* Proactive and Solution-Oriented Mindset: Ability to anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Team Player: Capable of working collaboratively with team members and independently when necessary to achieve common goals.
* In-depth Knowledge of Canada and Alaska: Familiarity with popular tourist destinations, activities, and cultural nuances in Canada and Alaska is preferred.
* Background in Tourism Management or Related Field: Previous experience or education in tourism management, hospitality, or a related field is advantageous.
* Passion for Travel: Genuine enthusiasm for travel and a commitment to creating exceptional travel experiences for clients.
