Sandman Hotels requires an energetic Quality Assurance Manager responsible for providing for the comfort of guests of the hotel by ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are clean and properly presented. The QAM will promote a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests. The QAM must understand their role as a brand ambassador and provide positive brand experiences to all customers. REQUIREMENTS

  • Fast paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, combination of standing, walking, standing for extended periods of time, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on leadership ability
  • Positive attitude, pleasant personality, and a strong ability to motivate, train, develop and guide a team
  • Knowledge of computers including MS Word, Excel and Internet
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards
  • Minimum 3 years housekeeping experience with a minimum of 1 years in a direct supervisory role in hotels
  • Knowledge of laundry operations
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including but not limited, mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily quality assurance inspectionsacross guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and brand consistency
  • Partner with third-party housekeeping and laundry teams to address service gaps and uphold operational standards
  • Investigate guest concerns related to room cleanliness or service delivery, ensuring prompt, courteous, and effective resolution with follow-up
  • Track, analyze, and report on quality metrics and inspection outcomes; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions
  • Monitor and manage inventory of linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies; ensure timely and accurate ordering aligned with operational needs
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulationsin all guest and service areas
  • Maintain a consistent and approachable presence across guest floors and public spaces, acting as a quality ambassador for the brand
  • Oversee the Lost and Found process, ensuring proper documentation, secure storage, and timely guest communication
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to support departmental budget adherence, including cost monitoring and waste reduction initiatives
  • Oversee department scheduling for Quality Assurance Inspectors and Maintenance personnel, ensuring appropriate coverage levels are met and staffing aligns with operational guidelines and service level expectations

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Manual dexterity required to use various cleaning apparatus and supplies.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Regular physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, crouching and kneeling.
