Serco Limited, on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust (LSCT), is hiring an Operations Assistant at Beacon Sports Centre in Beaconsfield. You will help run daily operations, assist customers, perform safety checks, and maintain a clean, welcoming venue that supports healthy lifestyles in the local community.

The role is permanent, full-time, with a 40-hour week and competitive benefits. DBS checks and health screenings are part of the vetting process, ensuring a safe environment for staff

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing environment, ideally within leisure, tourism or hospitality.
• Strong communication and customer care skills.
• Good organisational and planning abilities with excellent attention to detail.

As an Operations Assistant in our Sport England team, you’ll help ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of Beacon Sports Centre. From supporting customers and maintaining facilities to carrying out operational checks, your work will play an important role in creating a positive experience for everyone who uses the centre.

This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll support leisure, hotel and event operations while helping to maintain high standards across the site. Whether you're welcoming customers, carrying out safety checks or ensuring facilities are clean, safe and ready for use, your work has purpose and helps create a positive impact on the local community.

What you’ll do as an Operations Assistant

• Open and close facilities in line with operational procedures

Does this sound like you?

• Level 2 Fitness Instructor or equivalent (desirable)
• First Aid Training (desirable or willing to work towards it)
• Experience working in a customer-facing environment, ideally within leisure, tourism, hospitality or a similar setting
• Strong communication and customer care skills
• Good organisational and planning abilities with excellent attention to detail
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
• A professional, positive and approachable attitude with a commitment to delivering high standards

Vetting and checks

A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
