Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required.
• CPA designation required or pursued with significant experience.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in operational accounting and oversight.
• Demonstrated people management experience.
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS, auditing, and taxation.
• Experience in the insurance/reinsurance sector is an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle ERP is an asset.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the accounting team to deliver quality financial reporting.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate banking, accounts payable, and premium collections processing.
• Plan and coordinate workload to meet month-, quarter-, and year-end deadlines.
• Act as primary banking liaison, manage relationships and day-to-day banking matters.
• Manage cash flow and support accounting for multiple iA Financial Group entities.
• Coordinate with actuarial, tax, and operations teams for compliant treatments.
• Lead internal controls implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
