Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment is seeking a Controller, Operational Accounting to lead the team responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting of events and venue operations. This hands-on role owns full-cycle accounting, drives a disciplined month-end close, and partners with venue management, promoters and production teams.

The ideal candidate will have CPA, 7+ years of senior-level full-cycle accounting, and strong Oracle/Salesforce and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
• CPA designation required
• 7+ years of progressive, full-cycle accounting at senior level and leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the operational accounting team with clear priorities and deadlines.
• Hire, onboard and train team members; coach and appraise direct reports.
• Review and approve work to ensure accuracy and policy adherence.
• Own the month-end close and deliver complete balance sheet and P&L statements on schedule.
• Finalize event profit and loss statements with variance analysis for VP and finance leadership.
• Prepare and review complex accounting entries with proper support.
• Perform reconciliations of income statement, balance sheet and GL; resolve variances.
• Support pre-settlement and on-site artist settlements for large events.
• Review and reconcile accounting for owned & operated venues, including cash handling processes.
• Analyze event metrics and contracts; provide insights to management.
• Act as primary contact for internal departments and production staff.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies; remediate control gaps.
• Assist audits and respond to auditor requests.
• Identify process improvements across close and reporting cycle.
• Some travel may be required.
