Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. is hiring a Senior Accountant to support Live Events, including month-end close, settlements, and revenue recognition.

This role partners with the Live Events team, Finance, FP&A and venue operations to deliver accurate reporting and insights. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of revenue recognition, and experience with Oracle Cloud ERP.

Qualifications

Completion of a post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
CPA designation is preferred; candidates actively pursuing CPA with strong experience will be considered.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for Live Events.
Oversee event settlements, revenue and expense recognition, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Provide financial commentary linking results to event activity and operating drivers.
Collaborate with Live Events, Finance, FP&A, and cross-functional teams.
