Job summary

Qualifications

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in Good Standing.
• Certificate in Peri-Operative Nursing from an accredited program, or equivalent OR experience.
• Minimum one year current Operating Room nursing experience.
• Ability to scrub and circulate in all services.
• Must be willing to take on-call and be reachable within 15 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Register with the College of Nurses of Ontario and maintain good standing.
• Maintain BCLS certification on hire and keep it current.
• Demonstrate knowledge of ORNAC and IPAC Standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
• Be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Adapt to a rapidly changing OR environment and function as a team member.
