TransAlta is hiring an Operating Engineer (Shift Engineer, 2nd Class) to support the safe and efficient operation of our North Bay Generating Facility in Ontario.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role monitors and troubleshoots plant systems, supports maintenance activities, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while maintaining optimal plant performance. This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position with a rotational shift schedule.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting plant systems, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while maintaining optimal plant performance. The position operates on a rotational shift schedule.
This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position. Pre-employment testing will be required as a condition of employment.
This is a PWU position covered by the terms of the collective agreement.
