Job summary

Hydro One in Toronto, ON, is seeking a Regulatory Policy Advisor to support policy development and regulatory submissions with Ontario energy regulators. You will perform regulatory research, draft submissions, and coordinate cross-functional teams to advance Hydro One’s regulatory strategy.

The role requires strong analytical skills, English proficiency, and experience with OEB/IESO processes; familiarity with governance and reporting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of financial concepts, economics, engineering, quantitative analysis to develop business strategies and cases.
• Requires a good knowledge of English to develop submissions and present to committees.
• Requires knowledge of computer applications for developing submissions and presentations.
• Typically 4 years of university training.

Responsibilities

• Support internal policy development efforts related to advocating regulatory changes.
• Coordinate drafting of individual submissions and monitor regulatory policy developments in Ontario.
• Maintain progress reporting for leadership (SPC/ELT/Board briefs).
• Prepare materials for SPC and SPWG meetings (slides, briefs, minutes).
• Facilitate internal policy development teams and advise Lines of Business on regulatory policies and strategies.
• Work on OEB regulatory proceedings and compliance as needed.
