Job summary

Mariner Co, Halifax, is building a talent pipeline for Solution Architect opportunities supporting a leading organization in the shipbuilding industry. This onsite role will design and deliver scalable, secure technology solutions across complex business initiatives.

The successful candidate will work with business stakeholders, technical teams, project managers, and enterprise architects to define strategies, create designs, and guide implementations across a diverse tech landscape.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience with solution architecture or enterprise application delivery.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex enterprise solutions.
• Strong understanding of architecture, integrations, APIs, and data flows.
• Experience creating architecture and technical design documents.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Solid knowledge of security, networking, identity, and infrastructure concepts.
• Experience in Agile and hybrid project delivery environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable designs.
• Define end-to-end architectures aligned with objectives, standards and security.
• Produce artifacts: SDDs, diagrams, specifications, data flow designs.
• Evaluate technology options and recommend fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Lead architecture discussions and guide project lifecycles.
