Job summary

Appletree Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our on-site team in the Ottawa region. You will register patients, assist with clinical prep, and support administrative duties in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Base rate is $19.00 per hour. Candidates should have 6–12 months of customer service experience and post-secondary education in a related field; health-science degrees are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of customer service experience in fast-paced environments.
• Completion of 1–2 years of post-secondary education in a related field.
• An undergraduate or bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Kinesiology, General Science, or Arts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and handle reception, scheduling, and payments.
• Prepare patients for appointments and conduct triage.
• Use EMR Advantage system accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain inventory and keep exam rooms stocked.
• Clean and sanitize rooms and clinic areas regularly.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and documentation.
