Job summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Saskatoon Campus is seeking an Instructor - ICT for Continuing Education on a contract basis (LIT 182 – Children's Materials and Services). You will support online courses, update resources, communicate with students, and manage assignments and grades.

Eligible candidates hold an MLIS from an ALA-accredited program (or Library & Information Technology Diploma with related experience) and have two years of recent library experience, plus strong computer skills for online

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited institution or equivalent; OR Library & Information Technology Diploma with major related experience to be taught.
• Two years recent/relevant work experience (2 years in the past 5 years) in a library environment in the specialty area to be taught.
• Strong computer skills are required for online learning facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Check links and content prior to the start of the course, update resources as needed, communicate with students regularly, mark assignments, monitor student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, manage and review exam submissions as required, finalize official grades.
