Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre requires a permanent, part-time (30 hours per week) Online Educational Assistant. This position can be located in the following campuses with available space: Regina, Saskatoon, Kenaston, Estevan, Moose Jaw, Meadow Lake, or Prince Albert.
Sask DLC is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation, created to deliver high-quality and equitable online learning programs to students across the province. Sask DLCs head office is located in Kenaston, with an administrative office in Regina, and regional campuses located in Estevan, Kenaston, La Ronge, Moose Jaw, Melfort, Nipawin, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current and Yorkton.
Reporting to the Campus Principal, Online Educational Assistants provide a range of support services that help students to achieve their academic, social, physical and personal potential. Online Educational Assistants aid students with intensive needs by providing support for developing life skills and experiences, academic support, communication, and behavioral support as required by students and directed by teachers in an online environment.
Focused on delivering a quality online educational experience, this position requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, considerable experience in relevant technology, understanding of the challenges of online learning, and the ability to work independently with respect to carrying out the duties assigned in a challenging and fast paced environment.
