Job summary

Lightwell Learning in Vancouver is hiring an in-school instructor to provide one-to-one math and literacy support for Kindergarten to 7th grade. Instruction occurs primarily at a Vancouver school location, with hybrid in-person and live online delivery.

You will represent the organization in the school and craft individualized, measurable learning plans within a neuroaffirming setting. The role emphasizes collaboration with educators, researchers, and nonprofit leaders, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Experience in in-school placement and working in elementary environments.
• Experience teaching math and literacy to K-7.
• Experience with neuroaffirming, strengths-based learning approaches.
• Ability to develop year-long, individualized learning plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one instruction in math and literacy (K-7) at Vancouver in-school placement, in-person and online.
• Represent the organization within the school as the sole team member.
• Create a neuroaffirming, strengths-based, engaging learning environment.
• Assess learner strengths and challenges through informal/formal methods.
• Develop and implement year-long, individualized lesson plans linked to goals.
• Provide progress reports, with or without assistive tech.
