Position Summary

The On-the-Job Trainer (OJT) in Calgary AB plays a key role in bridging the gap between classroom instruction and workplace performance. This role focuses on providing hands-on coaching, mentoring, and skill assessment to post-graduate trainees within Operations. The OJT ensures that trainees can apply their knowledge effectively in real-world production environments and are fully prepared for job-readiness on the floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentorship & Coaching: Guide trainees through daily operational tasks, offering hands-on instruction and individualized coaching to reinforce learning.
• Skill Demonstration: Demonstrate operational procedures and best practices directly on the production floor, ensuring trainees can replicate tasks safely and accurately.
• Performance Observation & Feedback: Conduct real-time assessments of trainee performance; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Competency Tracking: Maintain accurate documentation of trainee progress, skill sign-offs, and OJT records in alignment with program standards.
• Program Improvement: Collaborate with training and operations teams to identify opportunities for curriculum enhancement and improved training delivery methods.
• Safety & Compliance: Reinforce workplace safety procedures and ensure all OJT activities adhere to operational standards and company policies.

Required Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in aviation technology or engineering, Advanced diploma in Aviation technology.
• Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
• Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing training, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• Excellent communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
