Job summary

Soletanche Bachy Canada is seeking a Quality Control Coordinator to lead QA/QC on a major industrial deep foundations project. You will be the on-site quality lead, manage inspections, maintain quality records, handle non-conformances, and deliver turnover packages meeting client requirements.

The role requires 3+ years in construction QA/QC, strong documentation skills, and experience with ITPs and NCRs. Site-based on a 14/7 rotation, with on-site work in BC to start.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of construction quality control or quality assurance experience (Preference to oil & gas, nuclear or equivalent).
• Experience on major industrial or piling / deep foundations projects is a strong asset.
• Hands-on experience with ITPs, field inspections, NCRs and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Be an active participant in SB Canada’s Health and Safety Program, helping to build a positive safety culture as we move from compliance to care.
• Prepare the site and liaise with estimators, engineers, project managers, coordinators and geotechnical surveyors before construction starts.
• Review project plans and specifications, and prepare required QA/QC documents including the site-specific QA/QC plan, input to method statements, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Ensure all quality documents, procedures and records are approved before use on the project.
• Contribute to quality planning, and prepare project quality plans and ITPs as requested by the Project Manager.
• Act as the main point of contact for all QA/QC items, liaising with the client on quality matters and submitting documentation on time.
