Hamilton Sports Group is seeking a Junior Accountant to support accurate and timely financial reporting for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Forge FC, Hamilton Sports Group Foundation and related operations. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will handle daily accounting activities and meet month-end deadlines, owning reconciliations and general ledger analysis.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate financial work.
• Ability to organize priorities and meet daily and month-end deadlines.
• Willingness to support all Tiger-Cats home games and Forge FC events as needed.

Responsabilités

• Support daily treasury activities and reporting with complete documentation.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Record daily retail merchandise activity and reconcile Shopify/Erply data.
• Perform monthly general ledger analysis and prepare working papers for review.
• Assist with game-day finance operations and process improvements.
