Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment is seeking a Manager, Accounting to lead a busy Finance team and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end closes across diverse portfolios. You will oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting while developing staff and strengthening controls.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or equivalent accounting designation.
• 7+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience in high-volume, operationally complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes for multiple portfolios.
• Coach, develop, and manage accounting professionals with accountability culture.
• Review journals, accruals, revenue/expense recognition, inventory, and reconciliations.
• Maintain balance sheet governance and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Partner with FP&A and operational leaders to explain variances and drivers.
• Support internal/external audits and drive process improvement.
