Job summary

Stephenson’s Rental Services is seeking a Heat Road Technician II to provide on-site service and repair of climate equipment in Alberta. You will diagnose, inspect, test and repair natural gas, propane, diesel and electric heaters while following safety codes and procedures.

Key duties include driving to customer sites, ensuring equipment is rental-ready, and mentoring junior technicians. Strong mechanical aptitude, valid Alberta licenses, and excellent communication are required to succeed in a

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical understanding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and refer to owners’ manuals and schematics.
• Valid Alberta AIT Class B license required; Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair natural gas, propane, diesel, and electric-fired heaters.
• Perform gas-related inspections, testing, and repairs per provincial codes.
• Drive to customer sites to perform onsite repairs.
• Ensure equipment is rental-ready and meets safety standards.
• Follow checklists and reference manuals and schematics.
• Operate and test equipment under operating conditions where possible.
• Provide guidance to Heat Service Technicians on required repairs.
• Assist in equipment retirement decisions.
• Explain features and safe operation to customers.
