Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals Limited is seeking a gasfitter-qualified technician in Edmonton to install, service and repair gas heating units and related equipment. You will test for leaks, inspect piping, and advise clients on safety features and maintenance.

A valid gasfitter ticket (A or B) or 2nd/3rd year apprentice and a clean Class 5 driver’s license are required. We offer a competitive hourly wage, comprehensive benefits, tool allowance, provided safety gear, RRSP match and year‑round, stable

Qualifications

Ticketed Gasfitter (A or B) or 2nd/3rd year apprentice gasfitter.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean (or satisfactory) abstract.
Picker truck experience is required.
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, service and repair heating equipment.
Knowledge of temporary heating systems at construction sites is an asset.

Responsibilities

Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment.
Install, maintain and service gas construction heating units and components.
Test and replace defective equipment or components.
Test and adjust control mechanisms and check piping connections for gas leaks.
Attend to gas escape calls.
Prepare reports on work performed and condition of equipment.
Advise clients regarding standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems.
May repair and service gas appliances and related equipment.
Check equipment for damage on return, report damage and fill out service tags.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle.
