Job summary

Varing Marketing Group in Abbotsford, BC, is seeking an on-site Bookkeeper to manage payroll processing, asset depreciation, and general ledger duties. The role requires 2–3 years of bookkeeping experience and formal accounting education (College/CEGEP or equivalent).

The successful candidate will maintain accurate financial records, post journal entries, and prepare financial reports with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• College/CEGEP or equivalent accounting experience required.
• 2–3 years bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Must be able to prepare payroll cheques and manage fixed assets

Responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
• Post journal entries
• Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
• Prepare trial balance of books
• Reconcile accounts
