Job summary

Clear View Accounting Corp in Williams Lake, BC is seeking a junior bookkeeper to join our head office on site. The position focuses on routine bookkeeping tasks, payroll cheque preparation, fixed assets, and financial recordkeeping.

You should have at least a high school diploma and 1 to less than 7 months experience. Proficiency with accounting software, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and tax preparation tools is valued.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation required.
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
• On-site customer service focus in a head office setting.
• Accounting work includes payroll support and bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
• Post journal entries
• Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
• Prepare tax returns
• Prepare trial balance of books
• Reconcile accounts
