Job summary

Fueling Brains Academy in Calgary is seeking on-call early childhood educators who bring joy to learning and strong interpersonal skills. You will support classroom teams, engage children in emergent, project-based activities, and model positive behavior.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience working with children (Canada experience required)
• ECE Level 1, 2 or 3 certification is required
• Reggio-inspired or Montessori experience is an asset
• Current First Aid Certificate (may be obtained upon hire)

• Assist children with self-care tasks (diapering, feeding, dressing).
• Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Teachers and Program Supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with classroom teams for planning and implementation of weekly lesson plans.
• Plan open-ended activities with an emphasis on process orientation and a developmentally appropriate curriculum with age-appropriate and individualized activities.
• Be responsible for reporting challenges, successes, and competencies of each student to the Director or to parents on a regular basis.
• Supervise the classroom, helping the children to think creatively, to solve problems independently, and respect themselves and others.
• Be responsible for ensuring an educational, caring, and safe environment for the children.
• Assist children with self-care (i.e. dressing, diapering, feeding).
• Other duties as assigned by Lead Teachers and Program Supervisors.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum one year of experience working with children (At least six months in Canada is a must)
• Early Childhood Certification - ECE Level 1, 2 or 3 is a MUST (based on requirements)
• Reggio-inspired or Montessori experience is an asset.
• Current First Aid Certificate (may be obtained upon hire)
