Job summary

Rocky View Schools is seeking on-call casual Caretaker I positions for the Springbank Area for the 2026-2027 school year. Caretaker I on-call casuals are called as needed at any of our schools in Rocky View Areas. Availability of at least 8 instructional days per month, access by phone/internet, and own transportation are required.

Position does not include benefits or sick leave. Responsibilities include routine cleaning, ensuring walkways are clear of ice and snow, and performing security

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of proper cleaning procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous cleaning experience is an asset.
• Certifications from cleaning organization is considered an asset.
• Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Routine cleaning of assigned areas.
• Keeps sidewalks, steps, and entrances free from ice and snow.
• Performs building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building Operator.
• Demonstrated pride in workmanship.
