Job summary

Canada Post is seeking an on-call relief Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier to deliver mail across Knowlton and surrounding Sutton areas. This temporary, on-call role involves independent work, adherence to safety standards and meeting delivery targets in all weather conditions.

You will handle CPC products and services, wear official ID, and may be eligible for future permanent roles. A valid driver’s license and strong local knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions.
• Have a valid permanent provincial driver’s license - class 5 or G.
• Able to lift and carry items up to 50 lb (22.7 kg).
• Excellent local knowledge of Knowlton and Sutton areas.
• Must pass interview.

Responsibilities

• Sort, collect and deliver mail items safely and on time.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of local roads, customers and delivery receptacles.
• Ensure mail is securely in possession.
• Process CPC products and services (Change of Address, Damaged Mail, IDB and others).
• Wear Canada Post identification while delivering and ensure visibility.
• Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg; operate a vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions.
