Job summary

Canada Post is seeking an on-call relief Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier to deliver mail across diverse communities. You’ll sort, collect and deliver items, maintaining security and accuracy while working independently on a route.

Responsibilities include handling CPC products, wearing proper identification, and lifting up to 50 lb. Valid license and safe driving record are required. Mobility and weather readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Have a satisfactory safe driving record (driver’s abstract required).
• Possess a valid permanent provincial driver’s license - class 5 or G.

Responsibilities

• Sort, collect and deliver mail items in a safe and timely manner.
• Acquire knowledge of local streets, delivery points and receptacles.
• Ensure mail is secured in your possession during handling and transport.
• Process CPC products and services (e.g., Change of Address, Damaged Mail, IDB).
• Wear Canada Post identification and keep it visible while delivering and collecting mail.
• Lift and carry items up to 50 lb (22.7 kg).
• Deliver by motor vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions.
