Job summary

Hazelview Properties is seeking a Regional Maintenance technician to support Toronto West properties. The role requires on-call duty, a valid driver's license, and ability to travel between sites.

You will perform general repairs, assist with turnovers, and ensure safety and resident satisfaction. Responsibilities include responding to issues after hours, completing plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry tasks, and documenting work in Hazelview software.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School or GED.
• 2+ years maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle.
• Flexibility to work on-call on a rotating schedule (evenings & weekends).
• Proficient with use of basic handheld and electrical tools.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, etc.
• Certification/license from a trade would be an asset.
• Familiar with community rules and regulations; multi-residential asset is a plus.
• WHMIS knowledge and HVAC awareness are assets.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve safety concerns.
• Perform general and specialized maintenance and repairs on site properties.
• Complete in-suite turnover activities including appliance repair or replacement.
• Inspect grounds, facilities and equipment to determine repair needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage spaces.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities in Hazelview software.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies when on call and coordinate with contractors.
