Job summary

CDSB in Timmins, Ontario is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide janitorial and maintenance services to assigned rental projects under the Housing Services Program Manager. The role supports the CDSB vision and ensures quality upkeep of housing facilities in the district.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance of building components and life safety systems, inventory management, on-call response, and timely reporting of repairs.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial/maintenance environment.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and prioritize routine work.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and maintenance / renovations processes.

Responsibilities

• Providing janitorial and groundskeeping services.
• Performing preventive maintenance for building components, equipment and life safety systems.
• Maintaining inventory of moveable assets.
• Maintaining fire log and business continuity plan.
• Repairing/replacing building components.
• Move out repairs/redecorating.
• Reporting needed repairs, problems and disturbances.
• On call duties.
• Quick response to call outs as required.
