Job summary

Milton Fire & Rescue Services is accepting applications for Part-time Firefighter roles in Milton. The on-call position pays $23.96 per hour and includes benefits such as an Employee Assistance Program and optional OMERS pension participation.

Qualifications

Must be resident of Milton to apply and work for Milton Fire & Rescue Services.
Valid Ontario Driver’s License Class “G” with satisfactory driving record; driver’s abstract required.
Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required on employment.

Responsibilities

Respond to a wide range of emergency incidents to rescue, protect and preserve lives and property.
Confine, control and extinguish fires; search, rescue, evacuation; exposure protection.
Provide emergency medical care including patient assessments, CPR/defibrillation, and transport preparation.
Drive and operate fire apparatus and support vehicles.
Perform equipment inspection and station maintenance.
Deliver public fire safety education and participate in community events.
Attend training and comply with health and safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
