Job summary

Ironclad Properties Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform on-site building upkeep in Ottawa. You will complete work orders, handle repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related systems, and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.

You will communicate findings and coordinate with contractors as needed. The role requires hands-on experience with basic building systems, tools, and safety procedures, plus reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of building maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems.
• Experience using power and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs efficiently.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders promptly and document activities.
• Perform general building repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, doors/windows, fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and maintain building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical).
• Install and diagnose minor appliance repairs.
• Inspect and test equipment and components per manuals and specs.
• Conduct daily property checks and preventive maintenance.
