Job summary

COLLINGWOOD SCHOOL Wentworth Campus is seeking experienced Teachers on Call to support JK through Grade 7. The ideal TOC will be collaborative, engaging, and ready to step in with passion and expertise in the early years.

Responsibilities include maintaining a positive classroom environment, supervising students safely, delivering instruction from lesson plans, and communicating with staff and families, while adapting to various grade levels and teaching teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education is required.
• BC Teaching Certification is required.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills are essential.
• Canadian residency and legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Basic First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive classroom environment aligned with school values and discipline approaches.
• Supervise students safely throughout the school day, including transitions, recess, lunch, and other assigned duties.
• Deliver instruction using lesson plans left by the classroom teacher.
• Maintain classroom routines, expectations, and behaviour management practices.
• Communicate relevant information to the classroom teacher and/or administration regarding student learning, behaviour, or significant incidents.
• Communicate professionally with students, colleagues, and parents. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
• Be adaptable and comfortable working with different grade levels, classroom environments, and teaching teams.
