Durham Community Health Centre is seeking an On-Call Custodian to ensure clean, safe, and orderly facilities across sites in Ajax, Pickering, Whitby and Oshawa. This casual on-call position requires flexibility and readiness for short-notice shifts, aligning with infection control and safety protocols.
Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure Management and Operations, the role includes cleaning duties, setup for activities, opening/closing tasks, and coordination with custodial staff.

Hourly range: $20.75/hour – $21.57/hour, commensurate on skills and experience, plus participation in HOOPP

This approach helps community members access both preventive care and care when they are ill.
How We Work: Our interprofessional team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, counsellors, dietitians, outreach workers, medical secretaries, and administrative staff. Together, we place each client at the centre of care and respond to their needs through integrated clinical care, wellness supports, and health education.

Part of the Corporate Services group, the Custodian, ensures that the building and grounds are always clean, tidy, secure and safe in accordance with the agency’s policy and procedures, particularly as pertains to our clinical environment protocols for infection control, and overall health and safety requirements. This position does not have a set work schedule and must be available on short notice to report to work.
