Job summary

Mondelēz International in Hamilton, Ontario, is seeking a maintenance technician to independently operate and maintain equipment using autonomous (AM) and progressive (PM) standards to meet safety, quality, cost and delivery targets.

You will perform standard work on your equipment, understand losses, and report them. The role includes operating the oiler-sander, transferring and weighing trays, and adjusting oil and sugar levels on production lines.

• Adjust oil and sugar levels as specified.
• Work with production line type machinery or food processing equipment.

How You Will Contribute

You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

More About This Role

• Operating and maintaining the oiler-sander machine to coat candy in oil and sugar.
• Transferring empty trays over to the conveyer belt and scaling them.
• Weighing the tray with the depositing candy to ensure the correct weight.
• Palletizing the trays once they have reached the required weight.
• Adjusting the oil and sugar levels as specified.
• Working with production line type machinery or food processing machinery, which is an asset for this role.

Salary and Benefits:

The expected annualized salary range for this position is $45,128.00 to $68,630.00 CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 5% with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results, and potential shift premiums and / or overtime.
