Job summary

Stantec is seeking intermediate Environmental Planners/Project Managers to join its Assessment and Permitting team in Ontario. You will help deliver environmental planning, approvals, and permitting expertise for Oil and Gas clients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Canada.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years’ experience in environmental program development, permitting, and compliance, with strong writing, communication, and project management skills.

Qualifications

• University degree or post-secondary diploma in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, or related field.
• 5–10 years in environmental program and project development, with infrastructure focus.
• Experience with environmental impact assessments and permit coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage project tasks and deliverables within environmental assessment and permitting processes.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, Indigenous communities, and internal teams.
• Prepare proposals and reports tailored to project requirements.
• Oversee environmental components and Ontario Energy Board studies.
• Conduct desktop regulatory studies to support approvals.
• Develop and implement stakeholder consultation programs.
