Placements24 is seeking an experienced Offshore Installation Engineer to join a fully remote project execution team. You will lead planning, execution, and supervision of offshore construction activities for oil and gas facilities and collaborate with offshore crews, marine operations, and engineering teams worldwide.

The role demands strong leadership, meticulous planning, and a deep understanding of offshore construction challenges.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of offshore installation engineering and project management experience.
  • Proven experience with heavy lift operations, subsea installations, and pipeline lay operations.
  • Ability to lead remote teams and manage complex offshore projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee offshore installation plans, procedures, and methods for structures, subsea equipment, and pipelines.
  • Provide technical supervision during offshore execution ensuring design compliance and safety.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and method statements for complex operations.
  • Coordinate with marine spread contractors, vessel operators, and third‑party inspectors.
  • Manage offshore installation budgets and schedules, identify risks and implement mitigations.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
  • Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in offshore operations.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Offshore Installation Engineer to join their fully remote project execution team. This role is critical for the planning, execution, and supervision of offshore construction activities, ensuring safe and efficient installation of structures, pipelines, and equipment for Oil & Gas facilities. You will work on diverse international projects, providing expert technical guidance and problem-solving from your home office, collaborating closely with offshore crews, marine operations, and engineering teams worldwide. This position demands strong leadership, meticulous planning, and a deep understanding of offshore construction challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute offshore installation plans, procedures, and methodologies for structures, subsea equipment, and pipelines.
  • Provide technical expertise and supervision during offshore execution phases, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
  • Perform detailed feasibility studies, risk assessments, and method statements for complex offshore operations.
  • Liaise closely with marine spread contractors, vessel operators, and third-party inspectors.
  • Manage offshore installation budgets and schedules, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all offshore activities comply with HSE regulations and company policies.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives for offshore operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Marine Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in offshore installation engineering and project management within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven experience with heavy lift operations, subsea installations, and pipeline lay operations.
