Job summary

The Oil Zone is seeking a competent Rig HSE Officer to promote Health, Safety and Environmental culture across our rig operations in Delta, Canada. You will implement HSE policies, monitor compliance, and conduct risk assessments to ensure safe, efficient drilling.

The ideal candidate is proactive, disciplined, and versed in regulatory standards and rig safety protocols, with 3–5 years in offshore/onshore HSE roles and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of offshore/onshore rig HSE experience.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, BOSIET, HUET, OSHA certifications.
• Knowledge of drilling operations, rig safety systems, and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, standards, and regulations.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and safety walks on the rig.
• Lead incident investigations and report root causes.
• Maintain HSE logs and safety records; prepare periodic reports.
• Support emergency response planning and drills.
• Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks.
