Job description

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will coordinate the mailroom activities of our office and will oversee opening, sorting and routing of incoming mail and make preparations for outgoing post, mail and packages. You will assist the logistics department with receiving shipments, verifying accuracy of orders and handling missing or damaged items and will oversee periodic inventories and reorder items. You will be the first point of contact for internal facilities issues and log all maintenance, cleaning and office/location services and refer related issues to the team members.

Location: You will work onsite at our Toronto office (3300 Bloor St W, Etobicoke, ON M8X 2X2. Please note that our office location will change in the future)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM)

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Facilities Management II

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
  • Receive packages daily and record transactions in Moneris' system, sign purchase orders, and ensure distribution and delivery of merchandise to the right departments
  • Ensure proper transport of all shipments; Process requests, assess condition of received merchandise, and verify accuracy of order; notify the appropriate parties if there are any missing or damaged items
  • Handle incoming and correspondence, including returned mail, and distribute promptly with daily contact with couriers and other mailroom vendors
  • Communicate to management any issues affecting distribution services promptly
  • Manage minor repairs and maintenance, cleaning, and other work requests, tracking to completion
  • Build constructive relationships with internal and external (suppliers, clients and associates) customers.
  • Assist in the procurement of vendors and services by sourcing multiple companies; provide information to management for consideration
  • Replenish some consumables to different department or areas of the facilities (hand-sanitizers, coffee, tea)

  • Minimum 1 years experience in a warehouse or shipping and receiving environment or relevant role
  • Basic knowledge of mailroom processes and systems.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving and must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office computer programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others both internally and externally
  • Outstanding time management, organizational and prioritization skills, and excellent attention to detail
