The Salvation Army is seeking a temporary seasonal Office Assistant to support the Christmas program in Peterborough, Ontario. The role involves greeting clients, booking appointments, and assisting with administrative tasks in a busy office environment.
This position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn the Link2Feed system are essential for success.

The Office Assistant provides support during the Christmas season on a temporary basis.
This is a temporary seasonal position based on 35 hrs per week. Shifts are 8:30am – 4:00pm Monday through Friday, with a ½ hour unpaid lunch. Some flexibility in scheduling may be required. The Supervisor will set the hours of work and work schedule. The working environment is typically in the office in generally agreeable conditions. Required to wear appropriate Salvation Army identification. Ability to lift/move up to 10 lbs. (4.5 kgs) in a safe manner.
Completed High School.
A minimum of one (1) year of prior related experience working in community-based programs would be a definite asset. Strong skills in all Microsoft Office products and good working knowledge and experience with email and internet-based programs
Compensation: The target hiring range for this position is $17.95 to $22.08 with a maximum of $26.20. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
