Office Administrator – Temporary Position

Our client is seeking an Office Administrator to provide immediate temporary coverage for a long-term leave. Located just off Highway 11 near Oro-Medonte, this is a great opportunity for an organized, energetic, and adaptable administrative professional who enjoys being the central point of contact for a busy office.
This is a varied role that combines front desk, customer service, administration, and office coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the office running smoothly, supporting customers and staff, and assisting with a variety of administrative tasks and projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, visitors, vendors, and incoming calls.
- Answer and direct incoming calls using Microsoft Teams.
- Greet customers and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Respond to emails and general inquiries and direct questions to the appropriate team member.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, appointments, and other office activities.
- Prepare, organize, file, and maintain documents and records.
- Assist with data entry and general administrative tasks.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other documentation.
- Provide administrative support to management and the broader team.
- Liaise with internal and external contacts to ensure information is communicated effectively.
- Assist with ordering and maintaining office supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate office equipment and service requirements as needed.
- Support various projects, events, and ad hoc requests.
- Help maintain an organized and professional reception and office environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and efficiencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of experience in administration, reception, customer service, office coordination, or a related role.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams is important.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- A professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with customers, visitors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to follow established procedures while also taking initiative and working independently.
- Positive, energetic, and adaptable personality.
- Receptive to feedback and comfortable learning new processes and responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership and get things done.
- A sales-minded approach or interest in developing sales coordination skills would be considered an asset.
Important Details:
- Temporary position providing long-term leave coverage
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Fully on-site in Oro-Medonte, just off Highway 11
- A reliable vehicle is required, as the location is not accessible by public transit
- Casual office environment (company shirts will be provided)
- Assignment has no confirmed end date and may continue for an extended period
- Opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and potentially grow into a longer-term role
