Provides direct clerical support to the Area Recreation Supervisor and the centres program staff with all related functions including recruiting, training, overseeing and scheduling the admin PT staff; maintaining centres payroll, and preparing bank deposits. Assists with monitoring work activities of assigned staff. Responds to emergencies as required. Responsible for all aspects of recreation administration within a center relating to revenues, sales, purchasing, payments, petty cash, financial summaries, balancing, auditing and securing all revenues for daily bank deposits and produces reports on same. Liaises with, responds to and appropriately handles customer complaints and inquiries from residents and agencies. Recommends and implements office procedures and improvements. Provides administrative lead for PR support for all registration, membership and counter functions including keyboarding and cashiering. Maintains purchasing files, office inventory, compiles statistical information and provides support and advice to Centre staff as required. Promotes programs and services throughout the community, including schools and user groups.
