Job description

Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are currently seeking an Office Administrator to support our growing McIlvenna Bay team at our local office in Creighton, Saskatchewan.

This is a full-time, one-year contract position based onsite in Creighton. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

The McIlvenna Bay Cu-Zn-Au-Ag deposit is one of the largest undeveloped VHMS deposits in Canada. Foran recently announced (2024) approval by the Board of Directors for the project to proceed to the formal construction phase with initial production expected in Q4 2025. The McIlvenna Bay deposit’s core commodities are critical for the global transition to green energy and Foran aims to extract these critical minerals in a sustainable manner by empowering local communities, contributing to circular economies and protecting the environment for future generations.

As part of the Health & Safety team, the Office Administrator will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, coordinating training and travel logistics, and supporting day-to-day administrative office functions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Greeting visitors and delivery personnel to the office
  • Maintain data entry and electronic filing of training documentation
  • Scheduling training & orientations
  • Two weeks a month managing the intake and scheduling of daily coach bus manifests
  • Addressing general application questions and direction to online application process
  • Receive and distribute incoming mail and packages/prepare outgoing mail and courier services as needed
  • General management of the office such as ordering of supplies, managing meeting room bookings, general office inquiries
  • General office duties as required
  • Provide support to other departments with ad-hoc tasks or projects as requested

    Job Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook)
  • Previous experience as a receptionist or customer service
  • Working knowledge of office equipment (printers, scanners and photocopiers)
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to operate with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive starting salary range of $47,200 - $59,000/year based on experience and qualifications.
