Job summary

OERP Canada is seeking an experienced Odoo Developer to design and implement integrated Odoo solutions on client systems. You will work with business advisors, consultants and other developers to deliver robust software and perform integrations with external apps.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in software development with Odoo/OpenERP, strong Python/SQL skills, and a proactive, get-it-done attitude. On-site role with full-time hours and health benefits.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related.
3+ years as an intermediate software developer with 2+ years in Odoo/OpenERP.
ERP implementations, development, customization experience.
Proficiency with git and CI/CD workflows; Linux experience.
Nice to have cloud experience with AWS; project management may be an asset.

Responsibilities

Design and develop integrated Odoo applications.
Develop client solutions as part of a cross-functional team.
Integrate Odoo with external applications.
Troubleshoot, debug, fix and upgrade software for field reliability.
Meet with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
Translate business processes into software solutions.
Adhere to coding standards, design reviews and test coverage.
Provide ongoing support to maintain these solutions.

The Opportunity

As an Odoo Developer

The developer team is responsible for reviewing and writing and testing code within implementations and customization on customer systems, helping them streamline their business with OERP and Odoo. This would be an excellent opportunity for an intermediate level developer with Odoo development experience to take the next step in their career and be given the latitude to lead projects and flex their creative muscle. We expect the candidate to be proactive and have a "get it done" spirit.

What You'll Do

Design and develop integrated Odoo applications.
Develop client solution as part of a cross-functional team consisting of business advisors, consultants, other developers, and customer.
Integration between Odoo and other external applications.
Troubleshoot, debug, fix and upgrade software and ensure customer software solution works robustly in the field.
Meeting with key stakeholders to understand business requirements.
Translating business processes into software solutions.
Adhere to and promote best software programming practices such as coding standards, code and design reviews and test coverage
Provide the support to maintain these specific solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

What You'll Bring

Educations

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

Intermediate software developer (3+ years) with at least 2 year of experience in Odoo and/or OpenERP.
ERP implementations, development, customization.
git and CI/CD workflows
Proficiency with Linux.
Cloud systems (AWS, EC2, ECS). (Nice to have)
Proven success in project management and software design would be an asset.
Other languages and technologies.

Skills

Odoo ORM.
Frontend: Typescript or Javascript.
Frontend: HTML and SASS, LESS or CSS.
Object‑Oriented: Python, Java, C++
Backend: SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL or equivalent persistent store.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong proficiency in automation and automated testing, including functional, integration, stress, performance, and other tests.
Outstanding attention to detail.
