Job summary

Paladin Security is hosting a recruitment event in Edmonton. Candidates should be available days, evenings, and nights across all 7 days to support access control, patrols, and incident response.

Responsibilities include monitoring safety, reporting irregularities, and responding to alarms while maintaining professional communications and confidentiality. Qualified applicants will be contacted via email for access to the event.

Qualifications

• Hold valid Alberta Security license.
• Must have at least 6 months Security Experience in Canada.
• Must have full availability, Days, Evenings, Nights 7 days a week.
• Discretion when handling confidential information and strong reporting skills.

• Monitor patient safety and report changes to Protective Services and/or Nursing staff.

• Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Access control within and out of the facilities and report or investigate irregularities
• While on patrol, monitor risks such as unlocked doors, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical issues, hazardous material and additional breaches of security
• Monitor patient safety and report and changes to Protective Services and/or Nursing staff
• Monitoring situations, cameras, property and events
• Report all incidents as per specific site regulations
• Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance

Requirements

• Hold valid Alberta Security license
• Must have at least 6 months Security Experience in Canada
• Must have full availability, Days, Evenings, Nights 7 days a week
• Class 5 ADV Drivers license is an asset
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills while remaining professional with a tactful demeanor.
• Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain routine logs
• Ability to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
• Discretion when handling confidential and private information.
• The ability to perform under pressure and in adversity.
• Ability to walk 18-20km per shift and stairs
• AUTHORIZED TO LEGALLY WORK IN CANADA
