Job summary

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking Certified Occasional Teachers to join our Elementary OT Roster (K-8). Occasional Teachers replace short-term absences in our schools and are an integral part of our district.

Local residency is mandatory for onboarding; successful candidates must reside in the Ottawa area or relocate within 60 days from the offer date and be ready to begin assignments after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).
• Must hold a Basic Qualification of either Primary, Junior or Intermediate.
• Local residency in Ottawa area or willing to relocate within 60 days from offer.

Responsibilities

• Occasional Teachers replace short-term absences in our schools.
• Support student learning in assigned classes within the Elementary OT roster.
• Collaborate with school staff to maintain instructional continuity and quality.
