About The Opportunity

• Prepare and administer individual and group physical therapy sessions
• Assist residents with therapeutic intervention programs as developed by PT and OT, including range of motion, resistive exercises, stretching, and ADLs
• Assist residents in ambulation, with or without aids, under physiotherapist supervision
• Document care according to policy (e.g., Resident Care Records, progress notes, incident reports)
• Monitor residents’ response during treatments and respond to ensure safety; report conditions and progress to PT/OT
• Maintain equipment inventory and assist with audits, cleaning, and inspections

About You

• Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma from an approved college or a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology; current students will be considered
• U-first training or Dementia Care Course is an asset
• Experience in long-term care is an asset
• Knowledge of basic resident care practices and principles
