About the Opportunity

• Prepare and administer individual and group physical therapy
• Assist residents with therapeutic interventions as developed by PT and OT, such as range of motion, resistive exercises, stretching, and ADLs
• Assist residents with ambulation under the direction of the Physiotherapist
• Document care activities according to policy and procedures
• Monitor residents’ responses during treatment and ensure safety; report conditions and progress to PT/OT
• Maintain equipment inventory and assist with audits, cleaning, and inspections

About You

• Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology; current students considered
• U-first training or Dementia Care Course is an asset
• Experience in long-term care is an asset
• Knowledge of basic resident care practices and principles
