Job summary

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is seeking an Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, you will carry out prescribed Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy duties under the direction and supervision of a Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist.

This temporary, part-time role supports SHN across our three hospitals and eight satellite sites, requires graduation from an accredited assistant program, CPR certification, and the ability to

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physiotherapist/ Occupational Therapist Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relating to rehabilitation.
  • Valid CPR training.
  • Able to function as an integral component of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision accepting responsibility and accountability as assigned.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills including skills in patient teaching.
  • Experience working with people of various ethno-cultural groups is an asset.
  • Demonstrated physical fitness to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment is required.
  • Demonstrated high standards of work outputs.
  • Highly punctual.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and reliability.

  • Carry out prescribed Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy duties under the direction and supervision of a Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient care and rehabilitation goals.
