Job summary

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority invites applications for an Occupational Therapist to join our Winnipeg-area health network. The successful candidate will provide client-centered therapy across a range of clinical settings within our integrated system.

Candidates must be registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM), hold an entry-to-practice degree, and demonstrate strong communication, collaboration and clinical reasoning skills.

Experience

• Recent and relevant clinical experience preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Entry to practice degree as required for registration with The College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM).
• Successful completion of relevant continuing professional education in designated clinical area preferred.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Legally qualified to practice Occupational Therapy in Manitoba through registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM).
• Membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists (MSOT) preferred.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall in be in accordance with the Employer policy.

Physical Requirements

• Must demonstrate adequate strength, agility, motor coordination and dexterity for implementation of therapeutic techniques and manipulation of therapeutic activities as necessary.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
