Job summary

The Occupational Therapist will be a member of the district's Inclusive Education Team and work under the supervision of the District Principal of Inclusive Education.

Based in Vanderhoof/Fort St. James, BC, this 1.0 FTE continuing specialist position offers a competitive salary range with provincial recruitment and retention allowances, moving reimbursement, and full benefits. Deadline: Open until filled.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
  • Eligible for or member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to initiate change and carry out plans to completion.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Budget management.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Position requires bending, kneeling and the capability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and videoconferencing platforms.

ASSIGNMENT: 1.0 (FTE) Continuing Specialist Position

THE SCHOOL DISTRICT:

THE POSITION:

  • Counselling allowance $7152.22.
  • $3500.00 provincial recruitment and retention allowance.

  • Excellent benefits based on the provincial exempt package.
