CBI Health Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Port Coquitlam, BC clinic. This role offers a flexible schedule (full-time, part-time, or independent contractor) with a focus on helping clients return to work and improve quality of life.

You’ll work within a collaborative team to provide comprehensive assessments and tailored treatments. New graduates are welcome; BCOT registration is required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized School of Occupational Therapy.
  • Registered member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in BC.
  • New Graduates welcome; ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver outcomes for clients.
  • Provide assessment and treatment to diverse clients, including those with chronic or mental health conditions.
  • Perform home, job, and safety assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and client education.
  • Coordinate return-to-work processes with stakeholders for smooth transitions.
  • Develop new programs with the team and build external partnerships.
  • Maintain timely charting, reporting, and data entry; participate in meetings.

Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent client outcomes
  • Provide assessment and treatment to a wide variety of clients with varying needs, including those with chronic and/or mental health conditions and with those under WSBC, ICBC, Disability service streams
  • Provide impartial home, job, and safety/attendant care assessments, functional ability evaluations, insurer examinations, ergonomic assessments, client education, and job coaching, as required
  • Coordinate the return to work process with all stakeholders in a timely way, ensuring a smooth transition into the workplace
  • Work closely with the team and other resources to develop new programs to meet identified client needs
  • Network with internal and external stakeholders to promote new and existing programs
  • Perform regular, timely charting, reporting and communication
  • Record workload measurement data
  • Attend staff meetings and case conference meetings, as required
  • Provide professional services to other CBI facilities or departments, as required

  • You are a graduate of a recognized School of Occupational Therapy
  • You are a registered member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in BC
  • You are passionate about your profession and committed to ongoing professional development
  • New Graduates are welcome to apply
  • Pay Range: $42-$55 per hour
